STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR SECURITY DOORS AND GRILLES OPERATION: Push up maximum size 120 sq. ft., 140 sq. ft. for grilles. CURTAINS: Are composed of interlocking slat designed #1 galvanized in # 22 U.S. gauge and fitted with steel endlocks to prevent curtain shifting between the guides. GRILL PATTERN:
(ASL and CSL), Patterns are composed of horizontal rods of 5/16" diameter galvanized and 3/4" X 1/8" aluminum ( alloy 6063) vertical links. Horizontal rods are overlaid with 3/8" OD X
.032 wall aluminum (alloy 6063) tubes. Spaces between rods do not exceed 2": spaces between links do not exceed 4-1/2" on ASL and 9" on CSL. PERFORATED STEEL CURTAINS:
Perforated curtains in lieu of grille curtains are available in slat designs #1 only. The perforations are available from 3/32" to 3/8" diameter when selecting the miniperf. The megaperf includes a
5-1/2" X 7/8" hole and can be spaced to control vision as desired. BRACKETS:
Standard brackets consist of 11 gauge thick corner cut on top and bottom. Bracket plates to be welded to a 1-1/2" X 1/8" structural wall angle to form a self-supporting member. GUIDES:
Are composed of 11 gauge single piece steel channel welded to structural wall angle. BOTTOM BAR: Is extruded aluminum interlocking
inverted T or (2) 1-1/2" X 1/8" steel angles. COUNTERBALANCE ASSEMBLY: Is blue steel spring wire mounted on a 2" pipe shaft and spring bearing retainers. HOODS: Are composed of 24 gauge hot dip galvanized sheet metal formed to fit bracket plates. LOCKING DEVICES: Includes pinlocks through
the guides and curtain (slide bolts) or self locking on motor operation. FINISHES: Hoods, guides, bracket plates and supporting angles are shop-painted.
Colors: Gray, Brown, or Red Oxide Primer.
